GREY’S :o

Yeah, i’m watching Grey’s Anatomy again.

I’m watching the end of Season 2.

I haven’t seen it before

And I’m OMGWTFing.

OMGWTF THERES A BOMB IN A MAN AND THERE’S A BABY COMING OUT OF BAILEY AND THERES A CHIEF WHO’S HAVING A HEART ATTACK AND THERES AN ADDISON WHO’S HAVING A HISSY FIT AND THERE’S A GEORGE WHO’S JUST LOOKING SO DAMN GORGEOUS AND THERE’S CHRISTINA RICCI WHO HAD HER HAND IN THE CHEST OF THE GUY WHO HAD A BOMB AND OMGWTF.

Yeah. This, too, was pointless.

Oh, the life I lead.

I’m sitting here, on James’s bed, in the same Jeans i’ve worn all week, with my laptop and text books around me.

No, i’m not studying.

I’m watching season 1 of Grey’s Anatomy.

Duh.

Hey: Medical Science / Biological Science… It’s so close! I’m probably learning more from Grey’s than I am from my Bio textbook anyway. ;)

EDIT: o.m.f.g: I CAN DO A GENERAL EDUCATION ASTRONOMY COURSE.
PHYSICS 107G
Planets, Stars and Galaxies
A non-advancing course in physics for students interested in astronomy. Topics include a survey of astronomical objects in the universe, the tools of observational astronomy, stellar evolution, quasars and black holes, cosmology. This course does not require a formal background in mathematics or physics.

OMFGOMFGOMFG IM THERE. NEXT SEMESTER. GET.IN.MY.PANTS.

Can you tell I’m excited?

Buy me a star on the Boulevard

Saturday night was effing awesome! James, Vicki and I went and saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers whilst they were in town and tehy were incredible! :D They played a lot of stuff i’d not heard of, but it was still a lot of fun! :D As soon as James and I figure out why my torrents refuse to download, I’ll download the discography. It’s 400 odd songs, but hey, i have a 30GB iPod to fill up now.. Whats a Gig here and there?

I have been working sooo much lately. Good for: Money, Bad for: Test results. Yeah, I worked so much I had so little time to study and completely fucked up my Bio test yesterday. It’ll teach me that I need to organise my notes and study WAY before the test in future, because it was an effing hard exam. Thankfully, people I spoke to today in my lecture also found it hard (and I wasn’t the only one who had never even heard of a “restriction modification system” which one whole section was orientated on. I can’t help but wonder if the entire question will be ignored during the marking - I’m almost 100% certain that we haven’t even covered the question in our lectures and therefore shouldn’t be in a test. Oh well, we shall find out. I think I did relatively well in my Computer Science test though - Better than I was expecting, anyway.

So, I got my hair cut the other day! I have incredibly short hair now! I’m really happy with it and feel so much more confident at the moment because of it. Tell me what you think!

My skin has been shocking lately (Typical: I fix one thing i.e. my hair, and something else causes problems). I really need to find a skincare product which works and isn’t terribly expensive. I’m thinking of trying Proactiv because I’ve heard nothing but good reviews about it. Has anyone tried this product? If so, what did you think?

I still haven’t received my shipment that arrived from Sydney at the start of April. They haven’t called me to organise delivery and it’s not a matter of customs forms: I’ve sent them off. They’ll be getting a phone call on Thursday or Friday though. I miss my stuff! haha. I want my computer, my books and my clothes! Not to mention my precious shoes!

Okay, so I missed blogging…

I’m baaaaaaaack!

So, my rump no longer rests in Sydney. It currently rests in Auckland, New Zealand! I’ve been here for about three weeks, but i’ve only just moved into my apartment. The apartment is so nice - it’s very modern, and big enough for one or two people, but it’s not huge. It’s taking a bit of getting used to, though. It’s not quite “home” yet, but it’s getting there. I’ve fallen in love with staring out my window at night. The city lights and the sounds really attract me… I think that’s the biggest part that’s making it feel like “home” to me - it just feels right.

I had plenty of dramas with the furniture though. Not only was the delivery delayed three weeks, but when it actually arrived, the bed, coffee table and one of the bar stools were missing parts or were completely wrong parts. I still have no coffee table or screws for a barstool, so the apartment looks an absolute mess (there’s packaging and parts everywhere.. Walking through it is like walking through a mine field.)

I’m really enjoying Uni too, which is good. Biosci101 is just so basic: It’s all the stuff I did in years 11 and 12 so the lectures are closer to “sleepy time” than “write notes time.” However, my lecture is quite entertaining - he’s completely technologically disadvantaged, but his examples are so very random. He actually brought a live crayfish to the lecture as an example of something with an exoskeleton. Law is so challenging because it’s all NZ law and Maori law. I’m terribly confused, but hopefully James will clear some things up. My other classes are quite good :) Computer Science is fun: Java!

I’ll certainly blogging on a regular basis now that I have a desk in the apartment and time on my hands. Don’t expect a new layout or site changes for a while though - I don’t have the files or programs necessary on my laptop, and my PC is currently floating on the ditch between Auckland and Sydney (i.e. I haven’t recieved it yet.)

Oh: If you’re looking for a link exchange, let me know!

Results

Tuesday morning was a shocker. An absolute shocker. 5.45 am my phone rings, alerting me to a lovely sms message from the Board of Studies, containing my HSC results. I opened the message, and fell off my bed in absolute surprise - Fantastic and unexpected results flashed back at me:

Bio 90 6
EngAd 84 5
IPT 98 6
GMath 91 6
VArt 87 5

(The 2 digit number declares my scaled HSC mark out of 100. The one digit number declares my band - the highest possible band is 6.)

I’m absolutely stoked with my results! Nothing was as shocking as recieving my UAI at 9 am this morning: I logged on with my student number, and an incredible 93.3 flashed back at me - WTF. how the HELL did I manage to get such a high mark!? Furthermore, the newspaper told me that i’d come 5th in the state in my IPT course, which was also exciting, as I was the only student from my school to actually get on the top 10 honour list from my school!

I’m still in disbelief - But i’m oh so happy!

Well, What have I been up to in the past week? Robbie Williams was absolutely fantastic! I, however, made the stupid mistake of going to the wrong venue, so I missed out on Sneaky Sound System opening :( They’re so awesome too. We made it in time for Robbie which is all that really matters. He is an excellent performer and entertainer.

I’m leaving for the USA the day after tomorrow, so I probably won’t be blogging until the next year (due to the high cost of internet on board) - I hope you all have a really wonderful Christmas and a Happy and safe New Year!
