Pregnancy tests.
07.31.08

Pregnancy is something that a lot of women really look forward to. The possibility of bringing a child into the world is a heart warming idea for many, myself included. Occasionally, the stress relating to the idea of pregnancy, or becoming pregnant, is very difficult to deal with.

I was speaking to a friend about pregnancy today, and how she was in the position where a test was required. She mentioned as to how stressed she was about the situation she’d found herself in, and the fact that the test didn’t appear to work stressed her out further. I suggested that she try a few different brands of pregnancy tests just to make sure, and to put her mind at ease.

I’m back :)
07.31.08

I’m so sorry for my impromptu hiatus, but life just got the better of me. The good news is that i’m now back, and i’m ready to throw myself back into the blogosphere.

Woo!

So, I’m back at university. My schedule is pretty hectic, and already 2 weeks in, and I have a lot, a LOT of work to do.

The good news is that i’m making some awesome friends, and getting to know a lot more people. I’m also enjoying uni this semester, which is a wonderful change.

I’ll do a proper update soon. :)

It’s indie rock and roll for me
06.24.08

Anyone who has known me for longer than five minutes knows how much I love my music, and in particular, my indie and alternative rock. I’ll happily sit there for hours just listening to the same band over and over.

Not surprisingly, some of the best indie and alternative rock these days is being shot out of the United Kingdom. I’m always stumbling across new music tastes, bands and music sites, and lately I’ve been looking into a lot of online radio stations. (Some of you may know that I had the offer to host a radio show, only to have to fly out to Sydney so suddenly.)

XFM is an online radio show based in London, which has finally rolled onto the web. Their music news is always up to date. They have many site-exclusive, and even UK-exclusive offers on gigs, tickets and giveaways.

Oh, and of course, their podcasts give an offering of indie and alternative rock music to your ears! I’ve been listening to their live stream through their homepage for about an hour now. Right now they’re playing my favourite Kings of Leon song, which makes me very happy!

So now, you can listen to one of the UK’s best Indie rock stations straight through the internet!

Yawn.
06.24.08

It’s been a busy and stressful couple of days. I’ve had my family here since Saturday, which has been a really nice change from the sad. We had a whole hotel full of people, including my Aunty Sue, the mother of Charlotte, who passed away, and her husband, my Nana, my cousins, including Emma, who’s one and GORGEOUS, my two other cousins, my uncle Robert and uncle Michael… talk about a gathering.

Even though it was so sad and stressful, it really made me realise just how much I miss being here in Sydney and seeing my family. They’re such a big part of my life and I miss them terribly when I’m away. I think it’s brought us closer though. Like my Nana said, I’m glad that we are a close-nit family, and not not speaking to each other. My mum’s like that with her family, and i’m fairly sure most of them don’t even know how sick she’s been. It makes me so happy to know I at least have half my family there for me. :)

Arizona holidays
06.21.08

Arizona is a gorgeous state. It’s one of the many states of the USA that I REALLY want to visit. The scenery just seems so different to what I’m used to, and the landscape really is a photographer’s dream. There are plenty of Private Vacation Rental Homes in Arizona which I would love to stay at, even some with more than 6 bedrooms. They’d be perfect if you were traveling with friends or family.
