Sparkie!

So, as you can probably tell, I’ve started blogging for some dough again. My work hours simply just aren’t enough, and I’m struggling to get to the end of the month without dipping into my trust savings account, which is something I REALLY don’t want to do. Instead, I’ll be earning a little bit of money through blogging activity, which is something I enjoy doing anyway, so I figure, why not combine the two?

SocialSpark is Izea’s brand spanking newest family member. The site provides various social, and monetary aspects that are all a benefit to both advertisers and bloggers. Their market place provides many, many opportunities which bloggers can partake in, either for cash, links, or blogs in return. The community is very effective and helpful too. Members are willing to go out of their way to help the newbies (such as myself,) and the staff are equally as helpful.

The site design is easy to use too. All the information you need is in the one area. You can see popular opportunities for posting, sponsorship or “sparks” (Socially-‘funded’ aspects, such as blog-for-me, ill-blog-for-you opportunities) all on the homepage, amongst featured opportunities, featured blogs, and a handy little activity control panel, making it easy for the user to check messages, requests, and so on.

The best aspect of Socialspark is their code of ethics. They’re dedicated to their members, and put them first. They ensure that the bloggers and advertisers are getting the best of their site and opportunity, and ensure that no postie will be censored. The best part? It’s posts don’t affect your search engine rankings. We all know google doesn’t like us posties ;)

So yes. I’m a proud new SocialSpark member. :D

The Holy Ghost and the whole East Coast are moving to L.A

TAKE ME TO THE PLACE WHERE THE SUNSHINE FLOWS
ON MY SUNSET RODEOOOO…!

Okay, that’s enough of me singing Robbie songs. :)

So yes, I had my exam yesterday — er, Saturday, considering it’s now Monday, it wasn’t yesterday. :P It went considerably well - I didn’t leave anything left unanswered. Fairly sure I got at least 70%, maybe 80%. Biochemistry fucked me around though. Thank god I don’t have to do biochem again. I certainly won’t be continuing with it.

Next exam is on Thursday. I haven’t started studying yet, even though I should because I didn’t go to most of those lectures OR read the course material. Meh, It’s not really contributing to my degree anyway so I don’t care if I fail. I wanted to try law to see if I liked it, and well.. I don’t! I’m fairly sure that Dad won’t care if I fail it either, considering I’ve never even taken a law subject before, and he knows I was just trying it to see if I liked it or not. Meh.

On to more exciting topics… I saw P!nk in concert tonig — er, last night! She was surprisingly good - Even though I don’t really call myself a massive pink fan, I really did enjoy myself. She did a lot of her old stuff, and I found myself unable to resist singing along. However, there was a stupid fuck sitting behind me who would not stay seated, would not shut up, and would not stop dancing so badly that she almost concussed the person sitting right infront of her. I’m sure she and her 40-year-old saggy hanging-out-everywhere tits ruined the concert for everyone sitting around her. I myself got decked in the head by her as she drunken-stumbled past me. Management had to ask her SIX times to sit down and control herself — which she failed to do. They just gave up after that. If it was me, I would have kicked the bitch out.

The concert really was good. P!nk is a great entertainer - she gets really into the whole performance aspect of concerts - she was doing all this hanging-from-cloth-ropes-suspended-in-the-air crazy acrobatic stuff that you would expect to see in Cirque Du Soleil. It was really good :)

And if i don’t say so myself… Her female dancers were pretty fucking hot.

I registered at Bloggerwave today just so I could have a wider range of sponsored post opportunities. PPP is great, but I’m just not interested in a lot of topics they have to offer me. Bloggerwave doesn’t have many opportunities yet, but hopefully it’ll get better. I may join up to some other companies too to see what they have to offer.

Just because I’m registering at more places, doesn’t mean that I’ll be doing more sponsored blogging. I’ll still stick to the two-or-three a week rule, and it will only be on stuff that interests me! I’m just registering at these places for the variety of opportunities!

Eh, off to snuggle in my bed and listen to my ipod through my nifty new speakers :)

In need of a design change

Eww. Sewwy.com seriously needs a new design. I’ve got so many ideas, I just don’t have the skills to implement them. After the cruise, I’m going to get stuck into the CSS and XHTML training and then create something half decent for the site. I’ll include my photography and art somehow too…

If anyone knows of some good CSS tutorials, it’d be much appreciated :)

The past couple of days i’ve been really lazy. I’ve literally sat on my ass all week, playing WoW and watching television. Oh well, I’ve worked hard all year, I deserve a break!

Our cruise was finalised yesterday! Documentation should be arriving soon! It’s all ready to go! I wish December 22nd would hurry up.

In other news, Deviantart.com have finally decided to implement a vexels section! Vexel artists such as myself have been campaigning for a long time for a vexels category, so we’re very happy it’s finally been accepted. Vexels at Deviantart!

Potterholism is back :o

Uhoh. My Potterholism is back. I’ve joined a forum for the HP obsessed, just like me. Seriously, go and join The Burrow, cause it’s great fun.

Well, three of my exams are over. :) I sat mathematics on monday (dead easy, finished an hour early. :O) and art on tuesday. I sat the English paper today, but it doesn’t count to anything. Tomorrow is IPT and Friday is Biology: From then, i’m FREE! :)

This is just a quick update to let you know i’m not dead. :)

On the road again.

*cd* - I Don’t Care, Delta Goodrem.
mood - Sleepyish.

new layout! - Commenters will have their comments returned! :)

I had what would end up being my 11th lesson with my driving instructor today. It’s just a month until I am doing my driving test, so I thought it’d be a good idea to get a few more lessons with an instructor and get a feel for driving under strict rules again. I was surprised at how much I had slacked off with little things! I can’t go over the speed limit at ALL in my exam, and should be at least three to four metres away from the car infront when stopping at lights and intersections, or it’s an automatic fail. :o So for the next few Fridays, I will be polishing up my skills with my driving instructor, and on Wednesday the 31st of August, I get to miss half a days school and take a driving test. :)

Well, It’s been a while since I blogged! Wow. First things first second, Delta was AMAZING! I have never been to a more amazing, personal and up-close concert as I had hers. She sung for literally two hours non stop, joked and laughed with the crowd, shared personal moments and allowed us to interact with her. It was wonderful. I found myself close-to-crying at various stages: I thought it was absolutely beautiful. It’s great to see how she’d recovered, after meeting her when she was halfway through her Chemotherapy. I love seeing the best of people. :)

I bought the program of the concert, and my Aunt bought me a tshirt covered in butterflies as a birthday present. Pictures from the program will feature on an upcoming-when-I-have-the-time layout. As for now, I have to get through all these assessments!

Speaking of assessments, the English at my school are absolutely terrible! They’ve set us so much classwork, it’s causing the grade to fall back in all their other subjects just to finish the blasted English work on time! It’s due on monday, and i’m only half finished. It’s currently 20 typed pages, so, yep, looks like i’ll be having an entertaining weekend! On top of that, I need to get started on my English Extention assessment which is on appropriations of Romeo and Juliet (At least I have an excuse to watch sappy Baz Luhurman movies now, eh?) need to finish a biology assignment also due monday, and need to get working on my IPT assessment, for which I have to make a website publishing a band/singer’s work and why people should buy it: I, of course, am doing Delta. ;)

To close off, I would like to mention how disgusted I am at certain members of the internet community. Jenn has copped a lot of abuse in her life time, but really, telling someone that you wish they had died in a car crash they occured? That is absolutely messed. Sure, I admit that i’m not Jenn’s biggest fan, and disagree with certain things she might do relating to her site and visitors, however, nobody - nobody should have death wished upon them. Eugh.

Thanks for the lovely comments last post! If I haven’t gotten back to you yet, I’ll do it now :)

ps: lookout for a new layout within the next week or so featuring Emma Watson :)
