Sigh.

So, some plans of mine fell through. I was supposed to be going to Rotorua with James and his family for the weekend, but due to some drama’s at work, I now have to work full time until I head to Sydney. The money will be good but I am a little disappointed and worried.

Just a photo from yesterday…

BTW, my eyebrows aren’t that small, it’s just that the hairs at the end of my eyebrows are really blonde. it’s weird.

Another day, another dollar.

So, I had half a blog written this morning and for some reason proceeded to forget about it and close the window. Can someone say idiot? Yeah.

Anyway, I’ve been working quite hard lately. By payday (Wednesday) I should have about $200 in my account after tax (20%.. ridiculous.) which is nice. I might spend it on a present for my parents for Christmas. :) I’ll be working plenty of extra shifts between now and when I leave for Sydney too. I’m not complaining - I need the money at the moment after my splurge on my gorgeous camera.

So, I decided to join Sparkpeople.com to help me monitor my nutrition, exercise and weight loss. Unfortunately the site runs on American time (I’ve yet to figure out a way to change it to my timezone) so the day changes halfway through my day, but I think I’ll just end up adding things to my nutrition guide after the american “tick over” time, which is about 8pm my time, I believe. All the same though, I’m glad I finally found a site dedicated to what I’m trying to achieve. The community there is great and supportive too.

I’m heading off to James’s place in about an hour or so. I haven’t seen him in almost a week because of work - I’ve had to be in town, whilst he stays with his parents during the holidays. He’s picking me up relatively soon and I’ll get two days with him before I have to go another week without him again. :o I miss him a lot, but I’m used to the time apart. After all, we were spending months apart for the past three years, so I am VERY used to not seeing him for long periods of time. It doesn’t mean I miss him any less though, I’m just happier to spend time apart nowadays, because quite literally, I can see him whenever I want now for the cost of a train ticket or petrol.

Not much else to update on. I’ll leave you with some recent photos. :)

Time to slim down!

Weeeellll, I’ve decided i’ve been this tubby for far long enough. I’ve been going to the gym occasionally, but as of today the weightloss quest has actually begun. I’m trying to eat so much more healthier and as of tomorrow, I’ll be going to the gym daily (or at least, semi daily, as some days i’ll go twice a day.)

I’ll try and document it as best I can. Hopefully I see some improvement by the time I’ll be leaving for Sydney. :)

Freedom!

My exams finished on Saturday! I’ve been happily doing nothing since Sunday, and I must say, I like it. ;) Guaranteed, the university will take their time in getting exam marks out. My exams were relatively tedious, but I’m fairly sure I did alright in the end.

On Sunday, before work, I spent a few hours at my uni friend’s house to celebrate her and her partner’s birthday. It was really lovely - she had a really nice family and the food was fantastic! I’m glad i’ve finally made a decent friend over here in New Zealand. We have a lot in common too, which is great. :)

Last week I worked more hours than I would in a normal week. In fact, I was working more hours despite asking for less hours due to my exams. I didn’t mind too much, but it did throw my stress levels a fair bit. By Friday I was in a panic because I completely hadn’t studied enough for both my Friday and Saturday exam. It’s good in the end though. After splurging all the money I did on my gorrrrrgeous Nikon D40x, I need to save a fair bit. Considering I’ll be in Sydney for a month, and in Bali for two weeks, I’d imagine I’m going to need some spending money. And with Christmas around the corner, I’ll need some money for that too. Whenever we go overseas during the summer, our family rarely gives presents, but all the same, I hate to not give presents at Christmas. I’m thinking of getting my parents a Digital Photo Frame. They’re quite expensive so I may have to go halves with my brother.

Speaking of extra hours, I’ll be working extra shifts between now and when I leave for Sydney. We’ll be completely understaffed due to so many of us leaving on holiday, so I offered to be available for as long as I’m needed.

The weather is just depressing lately. It’s been warming up (still, it’s winter-weather when you consider that it’s already 25+ celcius in Sydney at the moment) but it’s been rainy on and off for days now. All i want to do is sit out in the sun or go and take some photos, but this bloody weather is ruining that! At this rate, I won’t be able to take any photos until Bali!

Will update in a couple of days. :)
