Oh, come ON.

So the past week or so has sucked a fair bit. James has been quite sick with mysterious pains all over his abdomen and the like. He got so frightened at one stage, thinking it was advanced cancer. As much as I wanted to hit him and tell him to snap out of it, I didn’t - I played “Supportive Sewwy” and told him he’d be alright. He’s been to the doctor and had a whole heap of tests done, but so far no knews on what the problem could have been. Considering he spent Saturday night drinking with buddies, I don’t think there’s anything TOO wrong with him, but all the same, he has another doctors appointment on Wednesday this week.

About a week ago now, we both decided we’d go and see Chuck and Larry at the cinema, only to get there and find the place packed to the rim. Because we were waiting in line for tickets for 20 minutes, we missed the start of the movie, so we decided to see Die Hard 4.0 instead. It was surprisingly good. I enjoyed it simply because of all the computer geek stuff they threw in. Heh. The discussion in the car on the way home was so nerdy. “omfg that’s so impossible as if the united states would put all that technical information on the ONE server are they stupid!?” Yeah, we’re such nerds. :D

Work was such a pain in the ass last night. :( I started at about 5pm and there was already an issue with one of the computers - the cable connecting the monitor had been broken, so all we could see was yellow. Yay. Then the SECOND computer that we rely on for our deliveries stuffed up, and I spent about an hour battling with it (as our resident computer nerd..) only to give up and call the computer geek who set up the system. It turns out it was as simple as the computer not being able to connect to our server because someone had turned the firewall to “block all” - Grr.

Things got better until our oven shut down. Yeah. It died. *sighs* We had to give about $300 back on refunds and had a 40 minute wait time on pizzas. Lots of unhappy customers. A guy who ordered a $70 delivery was called by the guy I work with and the customer was just SO rude when H told him that the delivery would be delayed and we’d be giving it to him for free. He swore at H for about five minutes and cancelled the order. Poor H was close to tears :(

Customers suck.

The exciting news is that i’ll be 19 years old as of next Tuesday! :D The second most exciting thing is that a Lunar eclipse happens on my Birthday, and this time Auckland will be able to see it! *does a jig* - Hopefully the weather is fine because I’ll spend the night out in one of James’s fields, staring at the red moon. Wheee :D

*still has an hour and a half to kill at uni* eh.. off to read my book.

Sounds like a more severe case of my father when he has ‘man flu’. He always thinks he’s dying (you know, when he really, really, isn’t).

Happy Birthday though for next Tuesday. :P

Hope everything turns out alright for James. That’s crazy how so many things broke at your work in one day. Happy early birthday!!

I think it’s a too much drinking thing. my boy had similar pains the other weekend, woke me up by making loud in pain noises. i dislike rude customers. i honestly think everyone should be made to work in a customer service role just once, and then they would never be rude to anyone else ever again, especially for things that are clearly beyond the employee’s control

I’m sure James will be okay, probably just from the drinking ;)

I loved all of the computer stuff in the new Die Hard.

P.S. I linked you :)

Oooh that’s weird! Since sunday I’ve been having all sorts of pains in my tummy too. And my chest. On Sunday & Monday night I thought I was going to die D:
I hope he’s feeling better by now.
I can’t wait for the eclipse, it will be my first and I’ve only known about it thanks to you!

Speaking of pizza I just had to wait 40mins for mine :D I wish I’d ordered from your store because I got no discount or free stuff, not even a “sorry it took so long”
That $70 order customer seems crazy! If someone is offering you $70 worth of free pizza you don’t say no! :D
I hope work has improved since then.

I hope you guys can figure out what’s been making him feel ill. It’s not good not to know, so keep up on those doc visits! All the best!

I think I would also be close to tears if I was bitched at for 5 minutes at a job. In fact, I think I’d be sobbing on the phone asking them not to yell at me. Heh. I want to see Chuck and Larry so bad as well as Die Hard. I was never interested in the Die Hard movies until the boyfriend bought the 3 previous ones on a whim and we sat and watched all 3 of them that night because I loved them. I’ll be waiting until DVD, because I hate movie theaters for the most part, unless I can get there when there’s no one else there, which is what I will be hoping for on the 31st when I go see the Halloween remake because I need to see that.

Customers are just way too rude sometimes! They think they are better than you for some reason, just because you are serving them! Cheeky monkeys!

Happy birthday for Tuesday - I hope you see the lunar eclipse!
