iWorried

I got a 13 inch Macbook about this time last year. For the past 5 months or so, i’ve had a flicker in the screen - the brightness jumps between the high brightness notches - sometimes it’s such a little jump (i.e. between the brightest and the second brightest) and I don’t notice it, but when I bring my laptop out of Sleep, it flickers for a few minutes, and flickers quite drastically - it sometimes jumps two or three notches and flickers in between. It’s very frustrating and takes AGES for it to stop.

There are plenty of people with the same problem. Why am iWorried then? well, it seems that Apple is quite reluctant to accept this as a real problem. As a result i’m worried that they won’t fix my flicker, or they’ll try something which will fail to fix the problem and refuse to help me any further.

Another worry is that my warranty runs out very soon. :( It could be an expensive repair…

Ugh.

I’ll do a decent blog soon. I promise.

I get paranoid/worried about things like that too. Hopefully it’s just nothing. I’d try to get some additional coverage for it though so when your warranty is up, it’ll be covered by something.

Aw I worry about things like that too and then I never know what I should do about it. I am sure you will figure something out. I hope you are able to get it fixed. Don’t wait if you fear your warranty is almost up. Get right out there and try to find a way!

That sounds frustrating, I hope you get it fixed without paying too much!
I’ll cross my fingers for you!

I had a problem like that with my laptop ages ago - it turned out being the backlight dying. It often happens when a computer gets thumped around a lot, common with people who travel.

Apple really should fix it. They’re extremely picky with stuff like that, and if the warranty is up and you need something fixed you’ll have to pay a hell of a lot of money.

One of the many reasons you should stick to PCs :P
