Almost Better! :D

It turns out I have a particularly bad infection in my kidney. The infection has been causing the pain, random stabbing pains and spasming. The pain is pretty much gone except for some occasional slight stabs below my ribs on the left side, but that’s okay. I can live with it. On Friday, it was particularly bad, so I was unable to sit my first exam. It turns out that I am allergic to the first antibiotics the doctor had given me, so I was vomiting all Friday, as well as having back pain. I literally lied on the couch all day watching episodes of ANTM and the Tyra Banks Show, feeling guilty that I couldn’t join in with all the exersise that Tyra was showing on her show. Mhm. By the time Friday ended, everyone dad works with AND everyone at my school were worried about me. Hehe.

Tomorrow morning is my maths exam. I’m fairly confident I’ll do well, so that’s okay :) I will have to see one of my teachers to reschedule my English examination though. Unfortunately, I still have to do it despite the fact I get given an estimated mark. Blaah! I suppose it isn’t that bad, though. I can afford to screw the exam up if it’s really nasty, because the mark I get given is an estimate based on my past performances. :)

Today was pretty fun! Dad and I drove to Homebush just to go to Ikea. Initially, we were just going to get me a bookshelf, because I have so many school books and folders at the moment and pretty much nowhere accessable to store them. We ended up leaving with a bookshelf and two DVD cabinets, which dad and I spent the afternoon building and consequently cussing our heads off over. The end result is awesome. I’m so happy with it, and my room looks so much more spacey now (because theres no books on the floor, and I could also get rid of a silly old desk I used as a storage device that sat at the end of my bed.

check out my new bookshelf!

Bedtime now :) Got to be up early tomorrow for my exam. Wish me luck, everybody! :)

Typical.

The past three days have been torture for me. I’ve come down with something which is causing me to have severely acute pains in my sides, mainly on my left side, and as a result, my back is horrendously sore.

I went to the doctor this morning, have had an ultrasound, and went back to the doctors, only to find out that they still don’t know what’s wrong with me: They thought I might have had a kidney stone but nothing showed up on the xray.

My exam period starts tomorrow and the outlook so far is that if the pain is as bad as it was today, I won’t be sitting my English exam. It’s a pain in the arse really. As much as I hate exams, I really don’t want to miss them because they’re assessable and go towards my HSC. I suppose my marks will just be estimated if i can’t go.

Bleh :(
