I have to tell you, there’s nothing worse than getting so into a fanfiction which you haven’t read for so long, discovered that there’s a sequel which you haven’t read
and then realising that it stops two chapters from where it’s supposed to finish.
Really, cliffhangers suck. A lot. I hate them with a passion. In all honesty, I wasn’t really expecting it to end in a cliffhanger, as it had been last updated such a long time ago: I just figured that it was finished.
But nope. I got to the end and wailed in dismay at the fact that I couldn’t finish the fanfiction that i’ve loved since about 2003. Regardless of the sudden lack of fanfiction to read, I’m happy in a way. Not only am I back into the fandom world full throttle, but I’ve managed to re-read one of my all time series, discovered that 90% of the final installment I hadn’t read, and that I suddenly am feeling the urge to get back into my fanart.
The past week has gone by really fast. Most of my time has been preoccupied by either school or the Paradigm trilogy. Surprisingly, I haven’t had any homework, although there are several things I should be doing that I just don’t want to. I’ve had a few exams back, and so far I’m pleasantly surprised.
For entertainment value, i’ve decided to list a “ten facts” or “top ten reasons” based on certain topics. For this, I need your help, so feel free to list an idea of which I should list my ten facts about when you comment (or, If you comment.) Today’s ten facts will be on Ten Reasons why I’d kill to be a witch - Yes, like I said in my last blog, Potterholism has taken hold.
Ten reason why i’d kill to be a witch
10. Mail postage is no longer required.
9. Cleaning couldn’t be easier!
8. Dealing with enemies or pesky siblings would be as easy as a Bat Bogey hex.
7. Who wouldn’t want a wicked job as an Auror or an Intelligence wizard ?
6. Watching Quidditch is a hell of a lot more entertaining than cricket or soccer.
5. Transportation becomes literally as quick as a flick of the wand. It’s sure cheaper than petrol, too.
4. Getting ready of a morning would be marginally quicker. So would make-up application and hair control.
3. English chocolate is great, but Wizarding candy is even better! (mmm… Blood Pops…)
2. You could actually blame your monthly cycle on that dratted lycanthropy
1. Harry Potter could be more than a fictional obsession ;)
Don’t forget to comment with your ideas about future ten facts/reasons :)

Gosh, I love fanfiction. Most of the ones I read are about bands. Argh I hate cliffhangers.

I hate watching a show that is going to end and then they tease you to wait for four months before you watch the new episode because of some dumb cliffhanger. As for your top ten, I can’t come up with a top 1 thing to do anything, so 9 others would make me e-slap you around with a fish.

I hate cliffhangers too! Blast them! Argh xD
I understand how some things you loved to do sort of comes back into in your mind again, huh?
Oh I’d definitely KILL to be a witch! Well, basically if I am a witch that means the magical world does exist which means we can do so many cool things! But if I’m not a witch in a magical world, then… drats.

Ahh, I can totally relate to that whole fanfiction thing. I always read stories on fictionpress and I hate how they sporadically update or the story that you’re reading is soo good, but then they decide its awful and they stop updating it altogether.
Ahh…Harry Potterism…I seriously cannot wait until that 7th book…

Fanfiction is wonderful. I was writing it myself, although lately I’ve stopped. My inspiration goes on and off, I suppose. But cliffhangers are horrible, especially when the author doesn’t update for the longest time. It’s quite close to death. *headbang*
Top ten reasons it’s okay to pick on younger siblings. ;D

I love fanfic too, esp. writing it myself. There was this one fanfic I was reading before & it was so good, but it wasn’t complete & then I lost the site it was at and never got to read the completion. It sucked so bad. Grrr. Well hopefully they’ll update the story you were reading so you can find out the end.

Cliffhangers in fanfiction suck. I started reading a trilogy the other day, the third installment stopped on a cliffhanger and then I found out it hadn’t been updated in nearly 3 years. I may never know the ending. *cry*

Those are great reasons to want to be a witch. :)
Cliffhangers always suck. haha.
Anywho, I hope you have a fantastic weekend and perhaps read the next fanfiction to get rid of that cliffhanger. hehe. *heart*

I’ve never written fanfictions, but I’m sure I’ll be one who writes “cliffhangers”, seeing how I could never accomplish anything… *headbang*
P.S. You have the cutest smiley set. I’m really restraining myself from turning this into smiley abuse… *toilet* Okay, just one more. *chomp*

Ahh I know what you mean! I was the exact same way when I watched Lord of the Rings. The endings always left you hanging! Drove me nuts *glare* But in the end, the worth is well worth it =)
