I can be found on MSN almost every second of the day. Just because i’m signed in, however, doesn’t necessarilly mean that i’m actually on my computer, chatting away. Let’s straighten some facts out, alrighty?
1. If I have “Homeworking”, “at the shops”, “Not here”, “Watching telly”, “playing the sims”, “Asleep”, in my msn name, i’m either homeworking, at the shops, not there, watching television, playing a computer game or asleep. If i don’t respond, or tell you i’m actually doing something (for instance “i’m doing homework, talk to you another time?) i’m actually DOING SOMETHING ELSE, so don’t keep IMing me, expecting me to talk, NOR should you come to me after a week or so of not being able to talk to me and have a WHINGE at the fact that “we never talk anymore” because i’m “always doing homework.” Get the fuck over it, alright? The world doesn’t revolve around you.
2. Yes, most of the time I am on MSN purely to talk to James. If he wasn’t in the equation, i probably wouldn’t still be using the internet. Just because i’m talking to James, doesn’t necessarilly mean I want to talk to everybody else who happens to be online.
3. If i don’t respond, i’m not there or I don’t want to talk, so stop messaging me.
and lastly
4. If you have an opinion of me, fine, but seriously, don’t tell me how i should run my life because I am doing quite fine on my own…
GAH people shit me off sometimes.

I used to have the same problem when I had a larger contacts list. I would have my status set to Away and I still got messages. I got messages even when I wrote ‘NOT HERE, NO MESSAGES!’ in my name. People ignore status messages. I hate it.
By the way, I work for Review You. I’m writing your review.’

I hate when people think you’re ignoring them just because you didn’t respond right away. Now that you mentioned playing The Sims, I want to play now.

Exactly the reason I don’t have chat programs. The WORST is when some random person IMs you saying “Who are you?” *headbang* *bang* *retard*

AMEN!
I have the same problem with people. I’m on MSN practically all day.. but just because I’m online doesn’t mean i’m actively chatting. I’m usually not even at the computer, or doing something else. Yet even though I have myself as away, people STILL continue to message me and think I’m ignoring them when I don’t answer. Ugh.
You worded it well. *up*

I don’t give out my chat handles any more even to people I find online and enjoy (like you). I much prefer to keep in touch via MB’s or e-mail and blogs and such. If there’s something to say I can sum it up in a long e-mail once a week or whatever or tag your site many times.
I’ve had to explain it a few times to people lately… I don’t like to chat, for one, and besides that I often forget while I’m chatting with someone that I’m chatting with them. That makes me feel GUILTY! Uhg! And yeah… I have MSN because Kevin asks me to download it when I ditch it because he isn’t around, I don’t reply to anyone there except for him and Cleo (and she generally knows to message me on AOL if I’m online, MSN is a no-no!).
One last thing… : ) Pretty much from beginning to use the internet back when I was 10 I figured out that if you don’t message someone until hey message you you don’t have to feel ignored- so if you message someone first, be prepared to feel ignored. No, it doesn’t feel nice but if you’re going to be brave be brave and deal with the consequences of your actions! : )

Classy, Sarah. Very classy. I expected more of you. This is no better than what L_ _ _ _ _ _ did on her Web site. I really, really thought you had more class than this. Apparently not. *shakehead*

Go Sarah - if your MSN status says something, even if you’re not REALLY, say, out, it means YOU DON’T WISH TO TALK TO ANYONE. People shuld respect that. Once in a while’s okay, but…LEARN. Away = away! Busy = busy!
You rock my socks and etc *heart*

*hyper* THAT SOUNDS LIKE MEEEEE :)
But it’s true - we haven’t talked in ages, partially my fault for being offline for so long though - we practically talked everyday a few weeks ago ^_^
Anyways, hope to chat soon whenever you’re on… working on the collab *hmm*

Hahaha, I liked Nay’s point of ‘if it says you’re out, even if you’re not, it at least means you don’t want to talk to anyone’ (not copying and pasting, just using quotes because I like ‘em and was restating the same point).
I don’t understand what’s so classless about this post? : / Even if you were addressing someone in particular at least you didn’t state their name and such. :O
